AEL Repeal Efforts

A map depicting exclusion law status by state as of 2008

In the first half of 2008, legislation to repeal alcohol exclusion laws has only been introduced in South Carolina. There may be bills in New York, Kentucky, Texas, Florida, and Ohio.

If you know about any repeal efforts in other states or have information about efforts in any of the states listed here, please send a message to David Anderson at danderso@gwu.edu.

For a map of the current status of alcohol exclusion laws, download the file at the bottom of this article. You can choose either a low resolution file or a higher resolution PowerPoint slide.
