Product Development Workgroup Meeting Notes
January 18, 2007
Summary: The initial meeting of the Product Development Workgroup convened leaders from employers, employee assistance providers, managed behavioral healthcare, and federal agencies to develop models for workplace screening and brief intervention (SBI).
Participants agreed that more work needs to be done to determine how to incorporate drug testing into an SBI model. They also identified 5 potential vehicles for the delivery of SBI in the workplace:

Summary: The workgroup discussed the project to date, the results of the Delphi assessment of the health education, promotion, outreach and screening components of the workplace SBI conceptual model. The group also discussed potential approaches to brief intervention.
Group members were asked to send sample materials related to health education, promotion, outreach and screening.
