Workplace SBI Project Poster Featured at Community Prevention Day

A Canadian workplace health initiative is launching a campaign to educate alcohol users about responsible and safe levels of drinking. The campaign will produce educational tools including: kits, pamphlets, and posters, to distribute to employees. The materials will promote healthier drinking guidelines for employees.

A new study finds that company attitudes toward drinking influences employee alcohol use. Employees are less likely to drink heavily, frequently, or at work when their workplaces discourage such behavior.

Nearly Two-Thirds of High School Students Who Use Alcohol Binge Drink

Recent analysis from the National Youth Risk Behavior Study (YRBS) highlights how frequent underage binge drinkers are more likely to participate in harmful behaviors. Nearly two-thirds of high school students who use alcohol binge drink, according to the data. Drinkers that regularly binge drink are six times more likely to drink and drive. Further harmful behaviors of underage drinkers are analyzed.
